These exciting lessons will bring you over 4 hours of tapping fun and enjoyable exercise. You’ll learn 11 different tap steps including double pullbacks and the ever popular wings and put them together into 15 different combinations. You’ll improve your rhythm, sound clarity, and speed!
You’ll be really pleased at how thoughtfully and clearly each step is explained and you’ll be guided through a gradual increase in speed (we don’t just show you once and expect you to be fast).
A lot of tap teachers teach too fast and don’t give you a chance to really get comfortable with the material. Rod on the other hand takes his time to make sure you have the steps down, even repeating new sections of combinations several times to make sure you’ve got them.
Did we mention the many health benefits of tap dancing? You’ll strengthen muscles (some you didn’t even know you had!) and get a great cardio workout. But it’s not just your body that we’ll tap into shape, we’ll work your mind too. Remembering step names and learning new patterns will keep your mind in tip top shape as well.
All material is taught by professional tap teacher and choreographer Rod Howell. Rod makes tap dancing easy and fun.
Steps you’ll learn include:
3-Beat Riff Walk
4-Beat Riff Walk
5-Beat Riff Walk
Maxie Ford Turn
Stamp Cramp Roll Turn
SHE HAD FUN
“I just wanted to let you know that I LOVE the intermediate lessons. I was afraid that you might take an insurmountable giant leap from advanced beginner to intermediate...but you did it just right...Not too fast, not too slow. I really like the small routines with each new step.
You do such an amazing job and make tapping so attainable for everyone willing to put in the practice and you walk that fine line between not difficult enough and too difficult. You really know how to teach.”
