Tap Routines for All Levels

Our beginner tap dance choreography breaks tap routines down slowly and clearly so you can easily learn all the moves and enjoy performing them. We keep the routines fun and manageable so you're not overwhelmed. These dances are a great way to start performing and showing off your skills. Our "Singin' in the Rain beginner routine" is a huge hit as is our smooth tappin' "L.O.V.E" routine that adults are especially fond of.

Our intermediate choreography moves a little quicker but still has easy-to-follow demonstrations so you never feel lost. We'll increase the speed and complexity over the beginner routines, but we still keep it within reach so you can enjoy yourself while dancing. These dances allow you show off your tap skills and really perform with our powerful " Respect intermediate routine" as well as our classic "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" dance.

Our advanced tap routines will challenge you and develop your skills all while expanding your rhythm palette. For this level, we don't hold back on speed or complexity so be prepared to sweat and grow in your abilities. We also really span the spectrum for this choreography - from a lyrical hop hip feel for our "Fury of Elise" routine, to using drumsticks in a really captivating way in our "Sticks & Biscuits" routine.

We even offer choreography for in-between levels such as advanced-beginner and intermediate-advanced so you can always have exactly the right level of difficulty. These in-between levels split the difference between the levels below and the levels above. They're also a good way to work towards a harder level in a gradual manner instead of just trying to jump all the way from beginner to intermediate, for instance.

Choreography That's Easy to Learn

All of our tap dance choreography is taught on video, filmed from behind (just like you're in a dance class) and includes arm and head movements. The routines run 2:15-3 minutes and include notes with counts and timestamps. This makes it so easy to keep track of where you are in the routine and where you are in the video breakdown. You have full rights to perform these dances at any venue. We've had customer perform these routines at recitals, dance competitions, pageants and local shows.

We use level-appropriate tap steps for each of our routines - you won't find "wings" in a beginner tap dance! Many of our dances also have group options which include choreographic elements like roll-offs (also called peel offs or cannons) and counter rhythms (2 different tap steps/rhythms happening at the same time). This makes the dances more sophisticated and entertaining for audiences. It also teaches dancers how to expand their awareness of what other dancers are doing during the choreography.

Most of our choreography uses music, but some is acapella (without music). Either way, we count out the steps as we teach them so you know exactly what the rhythm should be. We also go over everything we teach multiple times so you can get the hang of it without rewinding all the time. This makes learning from video a joy instead of a chore.

Our ready-made routines save tap dance teachers so much time and effort and they save tap dancers time, struggle and hassle by providing just the right level of choreography. No more worrying about remembering what you choreographed last week - it's all written down with counts so everyone stays on the same page. With these routines, you can be confident you'll have a quality piece of choreography that the audience will appreciate.

Custom Choreography

We also offer custom tap routines where we create a dance to your exact specifications including music, length, difficulty, style and so forth. We've done everything from Star Wars pieces to Bruno Mars to The Devil Went Down to Georgia! We also excel at prop work like using drumsticks, tambourines, poles and even golf clubs!

We get a lot of requests for competition routines as well as recital dances with an occasional "just for fun" project here and there. We choreograph for all ages from wee littles ones to senior performing groups (we keep the jumping to a minimum for seniors).

We can even edit your music if you need us to. To get the process started go to our custom tap dance choreography page and reach out to us!
